As of April 24, 2026, all materials shared with students, including documents inside bCourses course sites that are not public, should meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This results from updates to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) released in 2024.
The most difficult aspect of this is ensuring that PDFs, in particular PDFs with equations, are accessible.
The SCF has prepared some hands-on guidance targeted towards Statistics teaching use cases in this Google doc. We will try to keep the document updated as new information is available.
